Kindred Spirit has an awesome privilege and honor to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in song. It is our hope that all would come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. If you have ever wondered how this is possible, you can know today that Jesus Christ is Lord.
God loves you. He loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you and the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). His Son’s death bridged the gap between the sinful man and God the Father. Through the blood of Jesus Christ and by trusting Him as our Savior, we can be forgiven of our sin against God and have a personal relationship with Him.
How do we accomplish this? We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. John 1:12 says “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” We must receive Christ through Faith alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Receiving Christ involves turning away from sin and self (repentance), trusting Christ to forgive our sins, and have His will and His way in our lives. Trusting God means that you believe His grace is sufficient, sovereign, and perfect. Romans 10:13 says "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
